Dom Vegz is an American electronic dance music (EDM) DJ, music producer, and performer from Nampa, Idaho. Known for energetic festival-style productions and melodic electronic soundscapes, he represents a new generation of independent EDM artists emerging from the Pacific Northwest. Producing music since childhood, Dom Vegz has developed a style inspired by global EDM icons while building his own identity through original productions, live DJ performances, and festival appearances. Starting his music journey at just 12 years old, he quickly developed skills in electronic production, DJ performance, and live festival sets. Over the years, he has performed at local events and festivals while releasing original tracks across digital streaming platforms.
Early Life
Dom Vegz, real name Dominic Vega, was born in Pleasant Hill, California and raised in Pittsburg, California and Nampa, Idaho, where he grew up surrounded by music and technology. From a young age he showed interest in sound design, electronic music, and digital production.
He began producing music in 2018 at age 12, teaching himself how to compose and mix EDM using online tutorials and experimentation. Rather than attending formal music training, he built his skills independently, learning through practice and constant experimentation with production software and DJ equipment. As his skills developed, he began exploring DJing and performing live sets that blended his own original productions with tracks from other artists in the EDM scene.
Early Production Years
During his early teenage years, Dom Vegz began producing electronic tracks from his home studio using FL Studio, one of the most widely used digital audio workstations in electronic music production. His early productions focused on high-energy electronic genres including:
Progressive house, Dance / festival EDM, melodic electronic, house-influenced tracks. These early releases helped establish his foundation as a producer and introduced his music to listeners on streaming platforms.
Live Performances
As his production abilities improved, Dom Vegz transitioned into performing live DJ sets.
He has performed at multiple regional events and festivals including: Treefort Music Fest, Boise Music Festival, and even nominated one of five people in his graduating class for best talent. That led to a short performance at his old high school. Later the school liked him and invited him back for the next years homecoming dance as their DJ. These performances helped him gain early live experience and connect with audiences in the Treasure Valley music scene.

He frequently describes the experience of seeing crowds react to music as one of the most rewarding aspects of his career.
Career Goals
As an emerging EDM artist, Dom Vegz has expressed ambitions of: performing at international festivals like Ultra, EDC, Tomorrowland, Untold, etc., touring clubs around the world, expanding his catalog of original music, collaborating with other producers small and big. His long-term vision is to become a globally recognized EDM performer while continuing to grow his sound and artistic identity.
